The Global Economic Outlook 2026 is 1 Finance's annual flagship publication, offering an in-depth analysis of the economy, markets and geopolitical trends. The report brings together global and Indian economic outlooks, macroeconomic risks and market insights in a comprehensive editorial format. The brief was to design the 1st edition of the publication with an engaging and visually distinctive narrative that presented complex economic information with clarity. It was essential to keep the unique editorial identity within the 1 Finance brand ecosystem.

Editorial Design, Data Visualisation
An Optimised Palette
The colour palette extended the blue and green of 1 Finance’s identity with a range of tints and hues. For greater flexibility, lighter variations of these colours were introduced in the secondary palette. For certain visuals, a warm parchment tone was used for a backdrop and a vibrant orange was selectively placed to guide the reader’s attention.
Layered Collages
The collages in the report offered a professional and creative balance, as they combined real-world imagery with potential possibilities. Through shifts in colour, position, orientation and layering, they distinguished different scenarios and reinforced the report's themes.
Compositional Elements
Throughout the report, transforming rectangular forms, fluctuating lines, text and contextual imagery were used in varying combinations. It created a language that reflected movement, change and economic conditions.
Structured Flexibility
A flexible layout system was developed to accommodate the report's diverse range of structured content. Designed around a six-column grid, long-form text, data visualisations, highlights and supporting visuals were integrated to establish a clear hierarchy and a balanced reading experience.
Outcome
The design system accurately captured today's global economy through a visual language that is dynamic, cohesive and conceptually aligned with the report's narrative. The Global Economic Outlook stands apart as a flagship editorial piece while still being a natural extension of the 1 Finance’s brand identity.
